Our last few pages are building toward an observation. More accurately written, a combination of observations all pointing toward a conclusion. As we'll describe in this page, the noise, the acrimony, all leads to one clear determination. It is really a Ponzi scheme that is disguised pretty well. Years of practice taught them how to do it.
If you remember a while back we wrote about how we get good at what we practice. Noble or evil, selfless of blatantly corrupt.

Maybe a short editor's note is appropriate here. In our page about practicing mindfulness, we used a "hippie" reference. A young reader replied that she needed to Google the term, hippie. Some younger readers might have to do some deeper research into Ponzi schemes. Years ago they were all over the news. I don't think they've lost their appeal, but they are more skillfully hidden now.
The short explanation is that a Ponzi scheme is based on luring unsuspecting people into buying into a corrupt or mythical scenario that is mathematically unsustainable. The ones on the ground floor, the ones preaching the flawed math and false hope make lots of money. The key is to confuse and fleece as many as possible before the house of cards collapses.
Often times, multi-level marketing plans are inaccurately grouped with Ponzi schemes. There is one clear difference. Multi-level marketing offers an actual product or service. It is franchising on a smaller scale.
So let's look back a few days. We posted a column from T.O. Illustratio who pointed out the reality that socialism has no proven track record of success.
Next was our own column about the clown car effect in American politics. All of the politicians, would be politicians, and influence peddling manipulators prowling under the socialist banner know they have no proven, successful product. They don't need one. It's really a Ponzi scheme. They just need to fool enough people for enough time to fleece the public coffers.
Just as the pitchmen and women who fronted the most diabolical Ponzi schemes did before them, the would-be profiteers merely need to sell a story. They don't have an actual product. Just a imaginary story.
Those who prowl under the same political moniker as these purveyors of the Ponzi scheme know it's a false message. But they won't admit it. They've abandoned principles in search of similar profit and position. They're just as culpable as the pitchmen because they know the spiel is fictitious.
In the aftermath of every Ponzi bust, someone finally admits they knew the story was false, but they too traded truth for payola.
Following the clown car post we added three consecutive stories about American citizens who made enormous contributions to our nation. They did things. Their products, their services were genuine. Their efforts were sustainable and beneficial to generations who would follow them.
Many of them came from a demographic that was marginalized for decades. They didn't knuckle under to the discrimination. Acting as adults in the room, they overcame the obstacles because they had a desire to improve our nation. They modeled service above self.
Regular readers know that we have a high school service group that is on the front lines in support of all life. We hear false narratives about our mission. The best way to answer such criticism is to do good work. Our team is not based on false messaging. Our actual product is putting resources into the hands of people in need.
The same could be said and at a much higher level of the people we wrote about in those three consecutive pages. They ignored the slander, they skipped the easier path of victim mentality, and they made a positive impact.
There is another Ponzi scheme some would suggest as being diametrically opposite to the socialist agenda. But we think they are exactly the same. They preach deceit and inciteful rhetoric. The leading voices know the message isn't based on truth. It doesn't need to be so. They only need to get enough unaware, confused followers to buy into the siren song. It is really a Ponzi scheme.
Thomas Sowell has a great explanation in the following video of the mentality of discrimination. We also posted it on our home page.
This is the common ground for both sides of their respective Ponzi schemes. All of us in the middle, the adults in the room know the truth. Ponzi schemes always fail when the truth is exposed and acted upon.
Our nation's 250th birthday is approaching. The best gift we can give our country is to shut down both Ponzi schemes. Socialism is guaranteed to fail. It always fails. Using systemic discrimination to block any citizen from the opportunity to contribute their talent and brain power is a national failure.
Park the clown car. Send all the clowns home. Tune out the bigots and the socialists. The bigots think some people aren't worthy of their level and the socialists don't want anyone building and creating.
It is really a Ponzi scheme. Time to shut it down.
